The Axis Scientific Life-Size Human Spine Model is an anatomically accurate replica of the complete human vertebral column and is a perfect tool to understand basic spine anatomy.

FEATURES

Human Spine Model with Complete Vertebrae
Mounted on a hanging stand, this spine model is life-size and remains static for uninterrupted anatomical study. Our complete vertebral column model begins at the occipital bone (base of the skull) and continues to the start of the cervical vertebrae with both the atlas and axis bones present.

In between each vertebra are intervertebral discs, vertebral arteries, and spinal nerves. The vertebral arteries are displayed in the cervical vertebrae portion while spinal nerves are displayed throughout the whole length of the spine. Each vertebra is also detailed with the transverse processes and the spinous process to aid in the study of muscle attachment.

This spine model includes all 7 vertebrae in the cervical column, all 12 vertebrae in the thoracic column, and all 5 vertebrae in the lumbar column. The sacrum and coccyx are also represented. In addition, there is a herniated disc between L3 and L4, facilitating an augmented understanding common spinal injuries.

Male Skeletal Pelvis
The Axis Scientific Spine Model also incorporates an anatomically correct life-size male skeletal pelvis that includes realistic bony landmarks and texture. The pelvic skeleton model features complete hip anatomy and includes the ilium, ischium, and pubis. Realistic details and anatomy include the winged feature of the ilium and the sacroiliac (SI) joint.

Metal Display Stand
Our spine model includes a metal display stand. The spine model elegantly hangs from the stand by way of a metal ring located at the top of the spine. The model can be easily removed from the stand for more concentrated study.
